with their gift of voice, they add a new reality to Marvin’s songs on Soon I’ll
Be Loving You Again" and 'Til Tomorrow. On Got to Give it Up, Motown divas Zhane sing
their “groove thang” so we can relieve some of life’s pressures.
Michael McDonald should’ve been chosen to record a tribute song to Marvin since he's
the only one to hold his own with Patty Labelle. He's #1 on the list of white men with
soul (Jon B is #2). It would’ve been great to hear McDonald with McKnight on the
remake of Marvin’s Distant Lover, where McKnight sings the “whoooo” note
like no (except for perhaps maybe Jeffery Osborne).
