it/break-it-down-for-you/spell it out/J-I-double L/S-C-O-double T/that's Ms Scott, even if

Hails from Philadelphia/I think I told you/Ms Scott's voice is, was and
shall ever be/one of the best/yes/I confess/she's the whisper on "I Think It's
Better"/the shout on the sensual "A Long Walk"/you better listen closer
then/then/then/ you might hear…
The first song/"Do You Remember"/soft memories/Earth mother-cum- ghetto
child/one in the same/asks the young man/does he remember/ building sand castles in the
Serengeti/splashing water in the Nile/playing hide-and-go freak?/let Ms Scott speak/spoken
words rounds her album out/all the way out/music superb/word?/spoken like a true poet/and
damn/don't she know it?

through/maturity/ Ms Scott's voice is/is/is/I confess/one of the best you'll hear/this
year/no doubt/listen in/watch out…
"He Loves Me (Lyzel in E Flat)" swoops/holds you/cradles you/brings to an
intimate space/erase/all fears/best demonstrates/her styles/ dips/ glides/ floats/ casual/
operatic/ systematic/alive/riffing/roughing/tearing up notes/on tunes like/ "It's
Love"/ "Try"/ "Watching Me"/ "Brotha"/you need no
others/unless you/told him/about the poems/ "Honey Mollases"/look/use your
glasses/"Exclusively"/I see/then let/ "Love Rain"/all over/all
over/and down/down/down…
Ms Scott/gets in you/gets in/moves the ear/the heart/from back to front/margin to
center/enter her words/sounds/she gets inside/the song/rocks it/and you/slowly.
