As
with the original The Fast and the Furious, 2 Fast's plot is
irrelevant and is merely a setup for a Hot Wheels fantasy. When the
simplicity of the storyline lulls, Walker's boyish good looks,
Tyrese's six-pack abs and brazenly clad females will tantalize
until the next car chase.
Kudos to 2 Fast for its cast of multiethnic
featured performers. Eva Mendes (Training Day) co-stars as Monica
Fuentes, a deep cover agent and the love interest of kingpin Carter
Verone (Cole Hauser). The film includes a noteworthy performance by
the dirty south's Ludacris as race promoter Tej. John Singleton (Boyz
N the Hood) directs 2 Fast. M
