E. Lynn Harris Explained: A Retrospective

Recently, I reviewed E. Lynn Harris’ Not a Day Goes By. I thought the book was sort of whack and said so. The story was weak, the characters were startlingly unlikable and I became concerned about the mentality of the people who are enamored of this man’s books. Must be the bisexual/gay content, I thought. In response to that review, I received an angry e-mail from a reader who let me know why, in no uncertain terms, she thought Harris’ books were the bee knees (her insightful explanation: they're good). She also suggested that maybe I should read all of his work. I did and I must say that despite the fact that my eyes are now permanently crossed; I learned a few things. MORE>>>M
