The National Black Theatre may be the first revenue generating theatre in the country but it does not generatge the revenue by providing black theatre performances or classes. They choose to abuse the residents in the surrounding community by continually renting to promoters who have operate loud club events well after legal clubs are closed (until 6 or 7 a.m.). This has been going on for years. They show no respect for the community. Dr. Teer is well aware of this but has done nothing to cure it. Why should a not-for-profit organization receive support when it abuses the community it is supposed to serve. Greed is the motivation here. Not culture, not community, not theatre. Black people wake up. The National Black Theatre is that in name only. It really serves the greed and self agrandisementg of Dr. Teer and her employees. Peace
