I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!!!! I LOVED THE MOVIE FOR IT'S POTRAYAL OF THE JOSEPH FAMILY. THE
SHOW PICKS UP RIGHT WERE THE MOVIE LEFT AND IT FILLS IN THE QUESTIONS ONE MIGHT HAVE HAD

Soul Food is my absolute favorite television show. I watch it as much as I can. The
show focuses on real problems and real topis. I can relate to the problems that the family
goes through, especially by being African American. It's about time that a new Black show
came out that wasn't all about gang-banging and drugs but realness. I commend them for
this. Y'all keep doing what y'all do and represent for us!!!

It's off the chain. This show is the best show since The Cosby Show. I feel that this
show will make history just like The Cosby Show did. Soul Food is the type of show that

I watch Soul Food each Wed at 10pm sharp ritually. I love the show and wish that
Paramount would put it on DVD/VHS like they have Sex in the City. I think that this show
depicts real life family situations and would definitely be worthy of having if you're a
collector of movies/sitcoms.

i really enjoy watching Soul Food. It is very entertaining and it relaxes me every
Wednesday night. The acting is A-one. The show talks about real life situations that
people of color go through. You feel that they are speaking directly to you sometimes.

We have just started watching the show here in South Africa and I must say that it has
changed my TV life, It is so well presented and it touches the black people so deeply as
it goes through what we as black people go through in our careers, relationships and so

I tried to rent the first two seasons of soul food the TV series at Blockbuster and was
told that it was not on tape. Will the soul food series ever be on tape? After all they
have the Sopranos and Sex in the City on Tape. What's up with that!

I'm from South Africa and the show is just one of my all time favourites. I make sure
that I make time to see it every single week because it rocks, it kicks ass, it's the
BOMB, it's realistic, it's amusing... man it's everything that one whould epect from a

The film was excellent in my opinion. I have to say that was the reason that I ever
turned on the series. Thank God that the movie was good, because now my life revolves
around THE SOUL FOOD SERIES!! I have to give a thumbs up to the writers (no matter how
good everything else is, without good writers your show will stink), the cast, and the
directors and producers.

The show is alright, nothing to jump up and down for. The movie is my favorite and I
loved all of the actors in it. I guess that's why I'm not too fond of the show because I
miss Vivica, Vanessa L, Nia, and Brandon. I'll give some of the actors in the show some
props they are pretty decent in the roles but it's still not the same to me. When I'm
bored I watch the show sometimes I guess enough to know what's going on, but the
storylines just don't have me rearranging my schedule just to see it every week. Frankly I
was happy with the ending of the movie and if I had my way I would have left it alone
there.

I really enjoy this wonderful series. I'm glued to the t.v. every Wednesday night. I
even watch the repeats on Sundays because I am really a BIG fan of this show. Now that's a
t.v. show everyone (black & white) can relate to. I wish there were more shows on t.v.
like this one. This show stems from every family in America and it just seems so real. It

This is one of the greatest and very best series every to come on tv, and i think that
these are some of the most talented actors that we've seen in a long time and the way that
they portray a typical close-knit african-american family and how theydeal with so many
issues is very real to the viewers. "The Language of Life" is the best episode
of the whole entire series so far!!!!!

Soul Food by far is one of the best African American tv series available. I really like
the versatility that the show illustrates. Most black shows now just try to illustrate
successful scenarios only without any struggles when we all know that being successful

I heard you guys are getting rid of this show next year. You con not do this. This is
the best show on for the week. I only got Showtime because this show was going to be on
it. I will have to stop watching TV on Wednesday becase thats what I look forward to Soul

Soul food is excellant. I love the story lines, characters and every thing else about
the show. It is never boring and always kep my attention and craving for more. When it
first came out I did not get to see a lot of shows. I would either be working or miss the
time that it came on. I was so excited when the episodes were put on dvd. I bought the
first season and find myself watching them over and over. I can not wait until the others
come on dvd. The price is good and the show is very well worth it. Please hurry and put
the other seasons on dvd so that I can catch up with this season. I love soul food bettter
than the soaps. Please hurry with the other episodes. Soul food addreses real life issues

I think this is by far the "Best" African-American series EVER! I can watch
this hundreds of times and never ever get tired of seeing these stars. I just wish that
the producers could couple each series onto a dvd or video, so that when people like
myself misses something,I can watch it. I could watch these series for hours and hours.
Better still, when my girlfriends come over, we can have our own SOULFOOD party. These are
the best actors and actresses, in a hit series. Keep up the fantastic work! And producers,
please think about my suggestion.

We started watching the series when it came out on DVD (we do not have Showtime) and
have become addicted! Keep them coming! We are hooked! Great shows. It is wonderful seeing
realistic African-American families on film. The stories are real, the characters are
believable and the men are gorgeous. Thank you for balancing the scales by showing naked
men on screen instead of only the women. :o)

Soul Food the seires is the bomb!!!It is so real life. I do not know how I am going to
live with out it after the end in 2004. The men are sexy and handsome. Beautiful
successful women. Versitile characters and guests. Real issues and circumstances. I hate
the long breaks in between seasons. That is unreal. But I am a true fan, so I am waiting
on the new seasons always. I wish there was another threee or four years to go. I would
love to write some episodes for the show. I hope to see all the actors on the show succeed
on other televison shows or movies.

imagine life without Soulfood on Wednesday nights. What's the problem! Why does the show
have to end. Look at how long "Friends" stayed on the air and look at "Sex
in the City" and "Sopranos", nothing against those shows, but they have
nothing on Soulfood. This show has brought families and friendships closer together. If it
must go, then come back to the movie theaters with Soulfood 2: The Drama Continues? or a
Soulfood Talkshow anything. This show was a complete success and as you can see, I hate to

Soul Food is the best thing going on right now. I can't believe that this will be the
final season of the show (the nerve of the producer's). The only reason I have Showtime
and Showtime On Demand is because of Soul Food. Now what am I going to do???? And to top
it all off, I've called Showtime Production Company in New York umpteen times to find out
when they're planning on releasing the remaining seasons on DVD and have yet to get a call
back or a satisfactory response!!! I mean what does a person have to do...petitions,
letters...what??? I'm sick and tired of going in the Video stores and seeing 3,4,5 seasons
of shows like the Sopranos, Sex In the City, even CSI have at least two of their seasons
out on DVD already. What you guys say we start a campaign to push to get the other seasons
of Soul Food on out on DVD. After all after probably April or May the show will end for
good....That Sucks!!!!!!!

I loved the series! I was surprised I adjusted to the cast so well. Each person was
perfect for there role. I stayed up late for 3 days straight watching the DVD series!

I am not that big on TV. I enjoy reading and it is very hard for me to get hooked to a
show on television. However, Soulfood, the series is one that I have become addicted to.

This show is one of the greatest shows ever. I love this show so much. My 2 year old
niece is nicknamed after Malinda Williams. We call her little bird. Every Wednesday night
me and my sister alternate houses to decide which house is soul fod night, and that

First, I want to start off by sayin' I love Soul Food and I don't want it to end. When
my mama first told me that this is Soul Food's last season, and they're not going to make
no more episodes, the first thing that came to my mind, well, first I started cryin, but
the first thing that came to my mind was, I wanna star on Soul Food before it ends. So I
emailed Oprah sayin I want to meet the cast of Soul Food (the series) and I want to star
on Soul Food before it ends in May. She e-mailed me back sayin' she got my e-mail and she
can't promise me a response becuz they get so many e-mails a day. So, I e-mailed her back
tellin her the same thing I told her before, starring on Soul Food and meetin the cast of
Soul Food is my biggest dreams and i would like her to make it come true, except this time
I told her that I know I'm not gonna be able to star on Soul Food becuz they only have 2
more episodes left. Listen, I'm only 15 years old and I am in love with yall show. I watch
Soul Food as much as I can. I watch it 2 times Wednesday, 1 time Thursday, and 2 times
Sunday, and i record it the first time it come on, and still watch it 5 times a week. I
just can't get enough of yall shows, and my huzband Lem .I been down wit the cast of Soul
Food and yall show since I was 12 years old, a juvie. And still down wit yall. I used to
come inside late when I was young, becuz our cable got cut off and I had to go round the
corner by my friend house and watch it till it went off. Soul Food has really inspired me.
I now understand what African- American families go through in life. I love the Chadway,
Van Adams, and Joseph family so much. It's like they're my family, I've known them for 3
or 4 years. I was cryin becuz I don't want bird and Lem to split up, she know she still
loves him, I have to say this, I want Malinda Williams And Darrin Dewitt Henson to go
together in real life. I think they make a cute couple on t.v. and in real life. Malinda
even said that if Darrin wasn't in a relationship, he would be her man, and Darrin said,
for real, I didn't know you feel that way. I been wanted them to go together. I just can't
believe my favorite show is endin. Well, if I can't star on Soul Food, that doesn't mean
that I can't meet yall, I still would love to meet yall, that is one of my biggest dreams,

I am a black working mom of three and wife. I've been married to my husband the father
of my children for 17 years. My husband and I married young but, we still in love and we
love the show.
This is the first Black show I've seen on television that is so close to reality. I am
so happy to see a show that shows us as blacks as positive people. In addition to,showing
we are family oriented,career mined, and can keep a relationship. The show is very
balanced and positive. Please don't make this your last season.

Wassup producers, directors, and the cast of Soul Food. It's ya gurl Courtney again,
the 15 year old that is obsessed with Soul Food. Yall show had me cryin' again. That was
so sweet when Lem told Bird "I'm your doctor, and your doctor said get on the
table", cuz she said they gonna have a baby. I was cryin' on that part too becuz I
was so happy to see them together again. They haven't been that close in a long time. I
thought Teri wasn't going to forgive Damon, but when she was sittin' on the bed thinkin'
bout the times they shared, I was like, "she gonna take him back." I was cryin
on so many parts, the part when they got married, when Big Mama was tellin Ahmad that
family has to stay together, and when it was going off because that was the very last
episode. I'm alwayz cryin' when Soul Food comes on. Man, I been tryin' to e-mail the cast

This show was the most dynamic for ANY ethnic group! I have laughed, cried, argued,
teased with my husband for 5 years with the Joseph family. They will be missed terribly by
all. The ending of the series was all the talk at the office this morning by men and women
alike. Come on Kenneth and Tracey Edmonds...revivie this upbeat and uplfting family!!!!!

i love soul food the series. every wednesday night was mine. i would get the kids
dinner or early maybe even eat out. i sometimes talked on the phone until nine. after
that; didn't talk to no one unless it was my girl who was watching soul food also and we
were saying girl did you see what happened and i will call u at ten. i loved the show. i
need all of the seasons at my house.

I love this show! but, would like to know when is the rest of the episode's coming out?
2,3,4,5 we have all these other shows to acomadate other people but, what about Africian
Americans.could someone please give a date so I can relax a little. and, I would like to
say for the next episodes can you all put maybe the deleted secnes maybe some interviews
with the actors bio's.Don't get me wrong we are getting our moneys worth by just watching
the movie it self but, we could have a little extra's!

Why wont they release the Second Season. I really want to watch. I am currrently
deployed in Iraq, and watching Soul Food helps my soul and makes me feel not so far away
from home. I am sure other soldiers feel the same way I do.

It's nice, interesting and more romantic. With nice and charming ladies and
gentlemen/guys. I make sure I don't miss a single episode, but I've missed 2-3 episodes.

I think that Soul Food was one of the best "Black" series ever. I am usually turned off when I see my fellow blacks playing roles that are degrading and make the world feel we are a bunch of crackheads. However, Soul Food was different and the relationship the sisters had are so much liek what many of us have and should have wioth each other. Family is important and when things get rough we ought to stick together and help one another...I think Soul food demonstrated that very well.
I am so sad that it has ended and would really like to have the series as part of my collection so if anyone knows if it is available on DVD PLEASE let me know.

I have watched this show since season one and I miss it dearly. I now have nothing to look forward to on Wednesday nights at 10 SHARP! This show was a true dipiction of the African American family. Soul Food the series is the best and will be missed .

I really liked the show, my sister is the one who got me watching the show when it first came on. First, I would love to say the Soul Food has been the best t.v. series since New York Undercover. I like how that put black people together and come out with the best show on the air. The one thing I like the most is how that focus on FAMILY!!!! which alot of t.v. shows DON'T!!!! All of the other t.v. shows have parts when the kids run away or the parents spit up people don't want to see that on t.v. Now on the other hand Soul Food had the shows that not only black people can relate to it is real upsetting to know that Soul Food has been takin off the air. I know that I can't make u air it again but, all I'm sayin is it would be nice to see Soul Food back on the air. Thanks

Is paramount going to release the second season of soul food or what? Sex and the city and all of those other shows that come on showtime are out past the second season. What about soul food? If it had five seasons, then apparently it was a good show. I know that it will not be airing again, but it would be nice if I could collect the seasons on dvd, or if showtime could play the sesons over from the beginning and I could record them. Black Entertainment Television(BET) is now showing the seasons from the beginning, but it is not the same as Showtime because they leave out too many parts. I am truly in love with soulfood. Iam very angry that the show was discontinued I know so many people who use to watch this show and still watch the reruns on bet. I wish it was something i could do to bring it back. I have been trying to support them and buy all of the series, but i can only find the first one.
