Malcolm X and spike lee's crooklyn are possibly the best 2 films i have ever watched. Malcolm X made me fell proud of being a black person. M X was portrayed as an intelligent and sensitive person,so unlike the interpretation placed upon him by middle class white america who seen him as a threat to their established racist status quo. it was a film that stayed in my mind and heart for a long time after. Let's have more black producers & directors dictating the way movies featuring black people are made.

The reason why I chose the top rating is becuase I think that the movie was an excellent way to show the type of person he was and what he believed in.

I loved the movie. What was the "symbolism" of the Klan riding off into the moolight on horse mean?

It was the real lowdown on how it was really going down.

Oh Dear Pauline,'middle class white america who seen him as a threat to their established racist status quo.' youve just dismissed millions of people with one sweeping generalisation not unlike the same way a Klan member might dismissed all afro caribbeans as a danger to 'our white women'
